Re: [Harp-L] Re: SPAH Election - An Observation
Robert - Thanks for asking. Voting takes place between April 1 and June 30, so by the time the convention rolls around the votes will have been counted and the newly elected president and vice president will be ready to be sworn in.
Paper ballots will go out to members with the next mailing of the SPAH magazine, Harmonica Happenings. The executive board (vice president, treasurer, and secretary) have approved online voting but I don't have the details yet. Harmonica Happenings Editor J P Pagàn is handling that, and perhaps he will post the details.

I'm sorry that you're getting a negative impression of SPAH. Trust me, the convention itself has none of this political hype going on.

I am going this year, first time, because of the rave reviews of one student who attended last year. Every week we meet, he is telling me a new story of musical interaction, and discovery that took place.
Winslow, When does voting take place? Before the convention?
