Great subject matter, great posts. Let's try this:

a.. It's 40 yrs. ago. I'm in my mid 40s. I have a job. About once every week (or TWO) I drop into a local Pgh. watering hole and sit in with the band and do 3 to 5 Charley McCoy type tunes. So that's about 1/2 hr. times 39 weeks (avg). Total 19.5 hrs.

b.. At the same time Wil Gallison is in his early 20s and busking on the busy streets of New York. Maybe a couple hrs a day, a couple days a week. Lets say 15 hrs. a week times 50. SO..in a year he has 750 hrs. of genuine bona fide road time. See the huge difference?

Ok then. Time is a hard to quantify commodity.

Otherwise what's the point?Semi-pro harp player with 30 years of stage play. 50 years playing guitar. 45 years playing piano. I have more cumulative experience on this list than 99% of you. I will say this: piano is 10 times easier than guitar and guitar is 10 times easier than harmonica. Peace out.
