We were given a link to this video which has the title Amazing blues harp ending https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FZgd4s-260

The question was asked “What makes it amazing”

Some have said “he's huffing and puffing”

There is no mention that the first clip is the end of a 4 minute solo. Here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TETg9ZpDyds

While I have heard solos I may enjoy more and I agree there are getter players, I consider this performance to be much better than what I hear locally and better than what I hear usually. When viewed as a PERFORMANCE, I say it is excellent. So back to the question, “What makes it amazing”, I say it was the energy and total 4 minute performance, not just the ending. A better title would have been, “The Ending of an Amazing Solo”

Wow. I’m really sorry to see this kind of smackdown on harp-l. I don’t know who Franze the original poster is or whether he posts regularly, but I’m sure he will think twice next time

For what it’s worth I’ve seen Graham McClelland and his band Blue Shaddy play a few times. Ok so he’s not the most polished player in the world, but he generates the kind of energy and excitement from the crowd that most of us who play on stage can only dream about

Thanks, MB
