[Harp-L] Musician Forum?

I notice that some contributors are becoming concerned that this list is not
intellectual or musically informed enough.

I used to participate for a few years in a specialist "petrol head" forum
devoted to vintage Porsches. It was run on very similar lines to Harp_L. It
was very lively helpful and informative.

Then someone got the bright idea that it was not cool  or elaborate enough
and decided to refine and develop it so that the real experts could pursue
specialist topics in an informed way and not be distracted by the dumb
questions of the "Riff Raff" or the "Great Unwashed". This establishment of
sub groups and specialist areas became  so ponderous that I can no longer be
bothered to try accessing it any more.

Here's hoping that Harp_L does not go the same way.
