It is not about whether or not there are subtle differences. At some minuscule level, there undoubtedly are.
They are like starlight in the daytime, the whisper of wind in the pines alongside the rushing train, or the pin dropped in the Morman Tabernacle while the organ is playing.  
The question is whether or not humans can perceive them.
