Aaaaand, I have no argument with that. Not at all. It is your right to set certain parameters that you feel are just and fair. I (personally) think that it IS fair).
I also feel that IF a person wants to take the chance and buy from a, hmm what shall I call it, a non certified source, that this should be their right, allowing
of course, that they shouldn’t expect any help from anyone other THAN that uncertified source. They pays their money, they takes their chances. lol.

In effect, what I am saying is that what you are doing is fine, and what they are doing is also fine. If they want to take the risk. And if I were the one buying
from said uncertified source, I certainly would’nt dream of subjecting you to the burden of putting up with me. As it is I find that most complaints about harmonicas,
especially chromatics stem from the fault(s) of the buyers. Some people just can’t be satisfied. And some will blame their own foibles ON the chromatic.

I have been buying harps for a long time, never expected a warranty, and if I was responsible for a breakage or malfunction, I was a man about it and put the
blame where it lay. With myself. I bit the bullet and tossed the harp off’n a bridge into the river. But I still think that a person should do whatever they want

Sure, they’re hiding the fact that they tried to pull a fast one.

> Bottom line, I do fewer repairs when folks buy direct--oh well, I have always been a part time consultant for Suzuki . . .

I don’t have any experience with them, as I am over stocked with much older harps. Suzi came along late in my foray into the harp world. But I have never heard
anything but good things about them.

I have a certain list of kleptos. As I said on another list some moments ago. I expect things to last a certain minimum length of time. If they don’t I quit buying them.
Even to the point of boycotting them.
