In fact, I have semi-valved the 1st hole on one of my harps for the tune I
was mentioning.
Here is an extract of this tune, which will be on my album to be released
beginning of 2016, btw.

And this is also why I was interested in getting the Eb on 2nd hole as this
valve disables the 1 overblow.
But I would rather not valve & keep my 1st overblow, which would mean
getting the B with a 1 blow bend.
