13th chord formula is 1, 3, 5, b7, 9, 13
2nd pos:
2D, 3D, 4D, 5DRAW! , 6B, 6D, 7D & 8B 1 3 5 b7 8 or 1 2 or 9 3 5
It is common to omit the 11th and if the 11th is included it should be writen as 'x'13(#11) as oposed to 'x'9sus. Yes I got my book out and now I'm even more confused :) I never use this stuff in real time when I play. Does anybody?? Am I all wet on this Iceman??
I think we have a misunderstanding. 5Blow = the mi6th degree of a maj scale in 2nd position. I think we are sorta saying the same thing here. 5 Draw would be yer dom7th.
I hope my little chart lines up!

nope. 5 hole exhale.
Technically, it should have a dom 7 note below it to qualify as a 13th chord.
If you want to create that 13th chord sound, you could play 2 hole inhale second bend and go right to 5 hole exhale. (Of course, bass note sustained below should be the tonic).
So a 13th chord has a #6 blow right? Dont make me get my book out !!

That's what I said Robert :P
A 9th = a 2 (in a maj scale?) or #6 draw (2nd pos)

finish on either 2 or 6.
In second position, your tonic tone is found on Draw2 and Blow 6 (and blow
9)Draw 6 would be a very jazzy 9th tone to finish on.
