I've found that the position of the raised lump is not fixed ..  it seems to move forward or back a slight bit depending on what key harmonica, which bend you are attempting and also the physical differences between us humans.


The pictures are a good tool to help a student with an awareness of how to approach bending and what the tongue is capable of, as well as a basic shape to start to explore placement in bending.

The tip of the tongue might have been shown against the back of the lower teeth 
but the position of the raised hump is accurate.
