My question is
Why the distinction of learning harp at college, as opposed to a private
teacher? Possible beliefs could be:
1. more theory
2. more structured
3. more prestigious
4. degree option
5. become a better player
None of which can categorically be applied to (or claimed by) private or
college learning.
I think the better questions would be
1. How do I learn? (Group or private, Visual or auditory?)
2. Do I relate to (respect) my instructor?
3. Do I need to announce "accreditation" or pedigree of some kind?
4. Will I be respected (hired) more often with college training?
