[Harp-L] Live recordings from the Lowlands gig 19 June 2010

Ed Abbiatti of the Milan-based band Lowlands has given me permission to post a few of the pieces I recorded live on my Zoom H4, with a mono feed from the mixer, at the gig at The Windmill in Brixton on June 19 2010. Unfortunately, the level on the Zoom was set way too high, and anything from that night with drums on it is much too distorted to be listenable. The stuff at the link below is listenable, and I like the performances, which in this case are both on chromatic harmonica. The improvised harmonies with the violin are nice, I think. I used a Bends chromatic on one of the pieces, I think, and a CX12 on the other; don't remember which right now, maybe it doesn't matter? The harp is coming through my RP355, which as I recall was set in both cases to use a patch I created that uses a direct box amp model with an analog delay.

Enjoy.

I also recorded the set I played with One Ton Pig on Tuesday night July 27, and I may post those recordings soon. The recording quality on those is a lot better; I discovered how to set input levels on the Zoom that night...
