Yes, many corporations over the years have "obtained the copyright" of....
Probably.... MILLIONS of songs and other music, not just in USA but all
over the world... I understand that the Sony Corporation (for example) now
receives a vast income from what has become THEIR "intellectual property"....
Now it seems that much of "song writers royalties" does not go to the
people who WROTE the songs at all.
Also a vast amount of the money that is collected by the "authorities"
simply goes to pay for the bureaucracy!
I guess such things were ALWAYS so...
