When the copyright runs out last I looked it was the life of the composed plus
75 years.
The old law I think was 26 years with a 26 year renewal.
It's not by the song. They have some formula they use.
If you have a song that you think is getting more play than your getting paid
I think you can ask for more money.

How old does a song have to be before it is the public domain? Also, about how
much does a club have to pay in royalties if a copyrighted song is played by a
band, and how much of that goes to the song's write? Thanks.
