If you can count to three and have the circle of fifths in front of you
(or memorized), you can find the correct harp.
Using the key of C as an example, the FIRST thing you do is find C on
the circle. That's the harp you need to play C in FIRST position. Want
to play in SECOND position? The FIRST thing you do is find C on the
circle. The SECOND thing you do is rotate counterclockwise one move.
There, you'll find F, the harp you need to play C in SECOND position.
Want to play in THIRD position (minor)? The FIRST thing you do, again,
is find C on the circle. The SECOND thing you do is rotate
counterclockwise one move. The THIRD thing you do is rotate
counterclockwise one more time. There you will find Bb. That's the harp
you need to play Cm in THIRD position. And on and on it goes----
