I didn't intend to minimize the role of cover plates in sound production 
in a harmonica, more to point out the importance of limiting the number 
of variables in any experiment. Brendan and Vern may end up eliminating 
even more variables if they want the experiment to be completed within 
the duration of the meeting.  ;^)

BTW, JohnnieHarp, I've been enjoying your posts of late. Very 
substantive contributions -- keep 'em up!
