Hey, SmoJoe:...I thought you were backing me up at Open Mic again (as usual)?

Oh, absolutely. I was talking about an evening show. I'm mr. cellophane on that score. I would call 1992 and 2002 rare.

What happened to 'get a few good songs ready'?

Right, and you will still need one for GSHC anyway. I was listed as a performer right under Hendrik. But I noticed on Danny's list, that my name is gone and replaced with Chris Bauer. I guess I will have to be 'and others'. And that's cool. Sooo, you and I can be 'and others' together. lolol And this is all predicated on my tests coming back, and what I have clears up enough to allow me to fly.

PS: Didn't the link you posted show you playing Summertime on Chromatic not diatonic, or was it one of the couple of songs you did do on diatonic that night?

Chris and John Walden had put their url (the one with Le Bon Vivant) on the list once each and the thread subject was TWO tunes. One was their rendition of Summertime and we were talking about 'fluidity'. The premise being that chromatics weren't fluid. So, I posted my version in an effort to get another perspective of that tune out among the listmembers so they could see a variant. (Oh, and maybe cap on me a little bit..lol). Summertime was done on chromatic at a jazz waltz finale and was in a minor key. Actually, my One note samba is more fluid, but we were talking about Summertime.

Incidentally, I got about 2 dozen off list inquiries about that tune.

Then, when Chris wrote those nice things, and reitterated his take on diatonics (which I agreed with), I posted the other tune which was diatonic. The harp used was a Db sp-20 with the 5 & 9 draw sharped. The only way to get the beginning vamp and one VERY critical note. A note that I (personally) can't get otherwise, and a note that cannot be avoided because it would ruin the tune.

Incidentally, I got almost 3 dozen inquiries about THAT tune. The tune is easy, and all I did was flourish it with a plethora of extra notes. No biggie.

You should post some of the other vids as well.....there are a lot of new people here who haven't seen them. I still think Angel Eyes is phenomenal.

I am just a front porch player (except I don't have a front porch). Anyone that googles my name can find some tunes. I have CDs of other shows but I only have 1 copy of each. So they won't make it to you tube. Besides, I don't believe in muddying up you tube with questionable work. Here's where they can be found. Way down at the bottom.
