[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, Vol 83, Issue 14

Re: Stupid Human Tricks

OK - that was Chris Clarke of Detroit, who was actually mimicing the famed harmonica artist
from Canada, the late great Bernie Bray. Bernie was a long-time member of SPAH - a
classical chromatic artist who enjoyed having fun with the instrument, serious as he was
about his music. Played with various symphonies across Canada, later settled in Toronto.
Played lots of SPAH conventions thru the years, and will be remembered by the older
members.

Ok, confess, who did it? I just saw on "Regis and Kelly Live" someone using a balloon to blow a consistent note on the low end of a chromatic to make it sound like a bagpipe while playing a melody in the upper register.
