The reed plates of the Special 20, 1896 Marine Band and the Golden 
Melody are essentially the same.  The outside dimensions differ a little 
but you can swap the reeds from any of the above into any of the above 
and the slots are identical too.  The Golden Melody has unvented covers. 
 Odd that you would blow out reds on the 1896 and not the Golden 
Melody. Wonder why that was?  fjm
