Dear Harp-L friends:
See letter to Hohner management regarding charges for harmonica repair.
What has been your experience? Any suggestions? Who's your favorite
harmonica repair specialist?

Dear Friends at Hohner:
A 500% increase in harmonica repair prices! Wow!
I am a long-time customer and supporter of Hohner. In 2007 I sent my
reedplates for CBH 2012 for reconditioning. The charge was reasonable at
$20 for reconditioning and $5 for shipping.
This year, I sent CBH 2012 reedplates back along with a CBH 2016
harmonica
for reconditioning. I was surprised when you sent me the estimate for CBH
2012 reedplate reconditioning at $120 and CBH 2016 reconditioning at
$145.
For those prices, I get free shipping.
In my opinion, this is not a reasonable or affordable charge. I have
already called the repair department to have my equipment returned without
repair service. I'm shocked and disappointed.
I felt that I would be remiss if I didn't express my feelings to "the
deciders."
Sincerely,
F. Norman Vickers
