Re: [Harp-L] Design project, Harmonica Mic - please help
I don't understand why tiny electret mics should not be the
choice of harmonica players. They are inexpensive,
lightweight, have a powerful output, can be completely
enclosed within any hand-cup allowing maximum "compression",
come with 1/8" diameter cables, and have a very flat
frequency response.
If the goal is a particular type of distortion, could that
not be accomplished electronically? A new design abandons
the traditional shape so that is no longer a factor.
What am I missing?

The Hohner Blues Blaster and the JT-30 are the same mic.
Good luck with your project!
