I have 2 harp gear amps, the Harp Gear 2 and the Double Trouble. I love both of them. Sunday I played an outside gig with the Double Trouble and it worked great. Plenty of volume and great tone. I love this amp and our guitar player asked me how it was so light for such a loud tube amp. It's great to take to gigs due to it's size and weight. The tone is great also with 2 channels that sound completly different. Lots of low end on channel one which I mainly use. I have not tried the Meteor but am sure it is great also just bigger which I don't need. I presently have 9 harp amps and I rarely take anything but the Double Trouble.

Subject: [Harp-L] Harpgear and Meteor amps
Hello all, I'm planning on shelling out for a "harp" amp and narrowed it down to either the Harpgear Double Trouble or the Meteor Mini Meat as I use small-medium amps for 95% of jobs. I have personally never heard either amp live and could use some advice from you who have on the sound qualities of these amps. I have heard them both on their respective websites but it is difficult to compare recordings. I would appreciate any comparison information that you could supply like Bass response, clean to dirty settings, horn/honk, cut, ability to get a dirty sound at low volumes, or any other information that you can provide.
Thanks! Craig
