Winslow is the author of Harmonica For Dummies and Blues Harmonica For Dummies. He self-published the Harmonica Information Publication (HIP) magazine in the 1990s. Has an active YouTube channel where he releases his self-composed songs across a range of genres and using different harmonicas and tunings, as well as videos of harmonica reviews and playing techniques.

He was also the President of SPAH from 2012-15, and continues to be involved in the organisation.
