Charlie will never be forgotten by me.  I spent years trying to get his version down and still don't have it quite right.  But I also love this version.

Greene is exceptionally good at this sort of thing (and more!) I continued to be staggered at the absence of recognition for Charlie McCoy. Buddy Greene would not exist without his example.
McCoy, for better or worse (depending on which extreme you favour - say Joe Fillisko on the one hand, and Howard Levy on the other) 'modernized'
the
approach to second position blues harp, and was extremely successful, commercially. Maybe this last is why he is forgotten, pretty much.
