 Hi Dennis,
To my opinion, ARKIA is more for players who can easily bend all the notes, as well as for players who can bend all the notes & play overblows. The reason is the price: the ARKIA Origin is approx. $92 with shipping and without VAT. I think it's not expensive when one is looking for a airthight & reliable instrument. But If the idea is to improve your bending technique, then a lot of cheaper harps will be good enough (Golden Melody, Marine Band Deluxe, etc).
Best regards,
Jerome

  Thanks for the insight.
I can bend on the first two holes and one on the third hole, but beyond that my results are poor. With this harp will I have better luck? I know from reading this thread that tweeking is a good thing to know, but due to my muscular dystrophy my strength and dexterity is severely limited. Is tweeking the ARKIA absolutely necessary? I play all my harps out of the box without cringing too much. Will the ARKIA play the same way?

My dear sweet wife says I can buy another harmonica next pay check. How much id the ARKIA in U.S. dollars?

   Thanks for the info.
So if he was in Kentucky would he play the Foggy Mountain Breakdown?

Hi Dennis. I understand your concern(s). As an aside a little about Jerome. He is the 'Commendatore of Grasse' (aka Perfume City, France). And performs mainly in the area of Venti-Miglia Italy to about Cannes France. So he 'may' have been inclined to give the demo in jazz. But I'm sure the harmonica is swell for the genres you mention. lolol. smo-joe

Is this harmonica only for jazz? I would like to hear some blues, country western, rock, and even some classical and less electronics. Not being a jazz love I'd be less incline to buy it.
