For those who heard "Stand By Me" (By Mike Stoller, Jerry Leiber and Ben E King) at the Royal Wedding.

The song came out in 1961--Leiber and Stoller  were producing a recording session for King and King had part of a song and they finished it up.

The Song was originally in A with what is now called The 50's Progression: I vi IV V chords.  (A-F#m7-D-E7) -- if you want to play along with the record??!

In the key of C (which is what most sheet music shows) the chords are C -Am - F  - G.
