[Harp-L] Melody Maker vs orchestra s

The bends are better on MM—
I don’t really care for solo tuned diatonic harmonicas. Some folks like them, however.
I have experimented with modifying the top blow notes, to enable draw ends up there. Basically I duplicate the 2nd degree of the scale on draw 7 (I consider blow six to be the tonic) and shift everything over a hole, similar to some of the Brendan Power diatonic tunings

> Candidates for the Pete Pedersen Lifetime Achievement Award should have a record of achievements over a long period of time that may reasonably be considered to be the virtual equivalent of a lifetime. Candidates that have established themselves as outstanding harmonica players are preferred. Candidates should be active in promoting the preservation and advancement of the harmonica and the positive and meaningful interaction of harmonica players and devotees. Candidates should demonstrate generosity in sharing their talents and knowledge, and in remaining accessible to members of the harmonica community. Only one person may receive the Pete Pedersen Lifetime Achievement Award in any one year unless there is a compelling reason to do otherwise.

> The 2018 recipient of the Pete Pedersen Lifetime Achievement Award is Kirk ?Jellyroll? Johnson, much-recorded stalwart of the Nashville harmonica scene (he's played on over 50 gold records), and longtime SPAH participant. Quiet and soft-spoken, Jellyroll plays with deep, tasteful chops and is open and helpful to all.

I got something from you in the past that was a cool applicator with some kind of white glue in it that, for me, didn?t work so well as the valve wouldn?t stay in one place while drying (this is a bit hard for me to describe well). So I?ve continued to use contact cement which can be a pain to work with due to the stringiness, but does the trick for me.
