All I can say is take one - just one - of the harps you've been playing for
a while apart and see what is inside.  That will tell you everything you
need to know.  Soaking your harp in a tub of water then tapping it out is
like thinking last night's rain is going to wash your car for you.  It will
get some of the dust off, but it is still plenty dirty.  A little soap and
water goes a long way.
