[Harp-L] Half Valving Question

I have a question about half-valving. I understand the basic concept. I'm curious what would happen if hole 5 was fully valved (both blow and draw reeds). The draw bend on that note doesn't have much bend. If the blow reed was valved, would it allow the draw bend to bend more? Would it sound more like the bend on a chromatic? Brett A. Tipton
