I put a 30-second sample of my piece "deeper" from my upcoming record "the
Lucky One" up on hunterharp.com at:

Some members of this list may remember "Deeper" from something like 14
years ago, when I was creating one piece a month for subscribers. The
original version emphasized synthesizer at least as much as harmonica. The
new version is spare, becoming increasingly dark and lush as it progresses.
There are three harmonica parts. The first to appear goes through a
Digitech RP500 running a patch that combines a Tweed Deluxe amp
model--smooth and lush--with a triggered flanger effect. The second is the
patch I use for rhythm parts on my arrangement of "Early to Bed"--an octave
down pitch shift coupled with a tough amp model and a wah wah. The wah wah
makes it possible to do very dramatic shifts in timbre with exact timing,
The third sound is a clean amp model on the Digitech RP500 coupled with
the triggered flanger again, front-ended by an iStomp running Swingshift,
set to an octave down, so the signal going into the RP is down an octave. .
The lead harmonica part is played on a Seydel Chromatic Deluxe, recently
set up by Greg Jones at 1623 Harmonicas. The two low-pitched harmonica
parts are played on a Hohner CX12 in C, recently adjusted by George Miklas.
The clip, like the rest of the music from these sessions, is pretty cool
stuff. Stay tuned for more. Please note as well that time is running out
for contributing to the Indiegogo project at the URL below, and I can
really use the help.
Thanks, Richard Hunter
