[Harp-L] Installing new reed plates

I just received new reed plates for my Saxony Chromatic. I didn't know that they are shipped with the 6 small screw holes of the bottom plate untapped. Although I have disassembled and reassembled reedplates countless times this is my first time installing new plates. Are there any pitfalls to tap the holes with the screws on the first install?
