Re: [Harp-L] José Staneck - chromatic harmonica
José is also a fine classical harmonica player. I remember one day about 20 years ago he and his family showed up on my doorstep in San Francisco. They were visiting California and decided that my place was not to be missed, so we had a really nice evening together.

Subject: [Harp-L] José Staneck - chromatic harmonica
My Friend José Staneck is superb chromatic harp player from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A few days ago he was featured on a Brazilian TV show called "Programa do Jô" which is a Brazilian late-night talk show broadcast similar the the Tonight show or the Late Show With David Letterman here in the USA.
José Staneck was featured on the show for nearly a half hour. The show is all in Portuguese, but if you go to this website:
http://gshow.globo.com/programas/programa-do-jo/O-Programa/noticia/2014/09/jose-staneck-conta-que-1-apresentacao-com-orquestra-quase-foi-um-desastre.html
and fast forward to 11:10, you will hear him play some beautiful chromatic harmonica with the house band. Later in the program he plays some short solo pieces as well.
Check him out, and enjoy...
