Yep, I'm in harp-tone heaven.
Richard Hunter's patch set for my RP355 has the crunch-grit "broken
Bassman" tone I was searching for. He calls it CH_VIB and it's perfect even
without the pedal down which adds vibrato. It's based on models for 57
Tweed Champ with Bassman 4x10 cabinet.
Stop lugging heavy amps around. Stop anguishing over the "one more
pedal-thing" that will make the difference. Just do it.
