Every position has advantages and disadvantages. I can not give you a single
sentence that can be read to convey the difference, unless it was the first
line I wrote. :)
I say there is one example where he can hear the differences, assuming you
know how to wail in second position. In second position on a C harp start
with 2 draw and play root, 3rd, 4th , 5th, and wail on the 5th, ., maybe add
a little dirty note blend. Then take a G harp and do the same notes starting
on the 4 blow. If he does not hear the difference, let him continue to play
melodies in 1st position until heâs ready to move on.
