Yep, F on a C harp is 12th position. Howard Levy calls it "1st Flat" but I
haven't heard of anyone else adopting that terminology.
"Zeroth Position" seems bizarre. What does that make 10th and 11th
positions, -2 and -1?
And of course, you don't *have* to play Lydian mode in 12th position. Nor
do you have to be in 12th to play in Lydian; 1st or 11th would be other
possibilities.
There's only one note difference from the major scale to the Lydian mode.
For example, C Lydian is C, D, E, F#, G, A, B, C.
