[Harp-L] Can you use one of the digitech devices and PA in an acoustic band?

To those who know the digitech devices: I play in an acoustic band (upright bass, finger-style acoustic guitar, drums with brushes, harmonica).  We play blues and rags that were originally recorded in the 20s and 30s as well as some recent versions of those types of songs--such as Blind Blake, Mississippi John Hurt, Reverend Gary Davis, and some Hot Tuna versions.  We use microphones to be heard in clubs, and I use a Microvox mini-mike or an Audix Fireball, cupping the mike, not using a mike stand.  Sometimes we aim at a Chicago sound, sometimes a country sound, sometimes old Jazz, sometimes like Gospel.  I am wondering whether one of the digitech devices and the HunterSound patches could add some variety to harp parts I play--to sound like an organ or a horn.  Or do the digitechs really only work in loud electric settings?
