This is true. Trying to play trumpet at a stop light presents problems. Given the steep slope of today's windshields, the horn hits the glass. So, you have to play off to the side. This hampers your vision. With a clarinet, even if you have it already put together, same thing. And raising it to your lips is dangerous. You could cut yourself on the reed. Sax? Ha ha, are you serious?, they dip too low past your seat and get hung up on the steering wheel. 
Nope, unless your dashboard IS a keyboard, the only way to play in a car IS harmonica. lololol
