One way to get more practice in is to make sure that you have a harmonica in your pocket every minute of every day. Take it out of your pocket and play whenever you have a moment away from the crowd: waiting for a bus or train, walking from your car to the office, sitting in your car at a stop light, etc.
I can get in 20-30 minutes of practice per day easily by taking advantage of the harmonica's portability and instant-on functionality in this way--and that's in addition to any formal "practice" time I put together. For ideas on how to use these impromptu practice sessions, see some of the other posts on this topic.
If you're embarrassed about playing the harp while you're walking from the parking lot to the office--get over it. Life's short. Make the most of it. Stick the harp in your mouth and get it on.
