I'd say it would be very unusual for a SP20 reed to suddenly go off-centre unless the user had already tried to do some fairly heavy-handed adjustments. I'd try everything else first before trying to centre a reed. You can raise burrs, of course, during tuning. Go easy on any sideways pushing!
