[Harp-L] Re: Harmonica Otherwise playlist on Spotify

Ben´s Spotify playlist is spot on (though all tracks won´t show up fer some strange reason). It has a commendably ecumenical ... character. No unnecessary pyrotechnics but the harp playing generally serves the music, not the harp player.
Interestingly for me it overlaps with stuff I own and play to some 90% (Kwak were new, though) -- obviously Ben and I share musical preferences to a considerable degree.

Also, there are a host of great harmonica players in France -- disproportionate to the population, I believe. Would be interesting to know why. It cannot all be down to JJ Milteau?
Just recently I discovered a guy called Charles Pasy. Great player; there was some confident sounding harmonica in the background of one of the former First Lady Carla Bruni´s records. I checked it out and it turns out he has a CD of his own. And, yes, it´s on Spotify ... In some senses we live in a priveliged time.

My thanks to Ben, whose playlist has helped me through a monumental hangover. (Yesterday was Midsummernight´s eve, a big holiday here in Sweden. We celebrate it in traditional fashion, and we pay for it the next day.)

Cheers,
Martin
