Re: [Harp-L] Smaller profile chromatic for easier octaves?

not as difficult as it sounds (at least on diatonic).

When I teach total beginners to get that first single note, within the first lesson they can hit 4 hole exhale pretty well. Then I make them drop their harmonica down to their lap, raise it quick and go for that same 4 hole. Then I make them "run the harmonica around their head" and once again, go for the 4 hole.

I don't give them time to think.

So far, it works real well and quick for all my students.

Jerry Murad used to do this on stage during shows. It was simply amazing!
But it goes as testimony of knowing the instrument that you hold in your
hands.
