I've been sent this link by John (Harptone46)--and given his permission to
post it to the list. I've no idea why I couldn't find it on my own but was
SO glad to get the heads-up.
Lots of good songs here --with mostly (if not all)Jason's harp throughout.
Heidi herself credits him as a good friend of her band playing with them
although there's a more recent harmonica player, Clay Goldstein. So..not sure
if Clay is on a track or two of this grouping? Most still sound like
Jason.
Jason did tell me he preferred his own playing on Louisiana to that on the
California track when I first told him how much I loved their version. I
couldn't find that song till now to compare so am thrilled to hear it as
well as 'Going to Mexico'. It's a toss-up but I still prefer California.
They're all amazing and different from what most people think of as Jason
Ricci's 'regular' playing style, and it's all about personal taste
anyway--whatever floats your particular boat. Both John and I really dig the gorgeous
instrumental 'Heidi's Sweet Song' and I enjoyed Heidi's voice sans harp on
both slow and fast versions of Utopia.
Lot of fun and enjoyment here for those fans of Jason's who haven't yet
heard these songs. Enjoy!:

PS: since I don't download music from the internet, I'd love to get this as
a CD. Any info out there?
