You're on the right track with that F harp.

Here is how to play an Am scale on an F harp (fifth position):

A  =  2 blow
B  =  2 draw bent down a half step
C  =  2 draw
D  =  3 draw  bent down 2 half steps
E  =  3 draw
F  =  4 blow
C  =  4 draw
A  =  5 blow

Practice that scale and then try the song again.
