Yeah, to each his/her own, but to me that beltpack thing was just as 
frustrating. If there's a wire, even from my mic to my belt, I'll find a 
way to snag it with an errant hand or arm and rip the belt pack right 
off or yank the mic right out of my hand. I think you can get a pretty 
compact mic/transmitter setup by using low profile mics like Greg's 
Ultimate series, or the small Sennheiser drum mic that Dane Paul Russell 
uses and has talked about.
