[Harp-L] Mike Runyan at Greenfield Village, Mich 4th July weekend

Mike Runyan who was featured in a huge spread on the front of the Arts 7
Style section of the Tuesday, June 29 Detroit News about the 4th of July
weekend concert and fireworks (not as great as the Detroit riverfront celebration
but still pretty good).

Mike is shown holding a chord and little lady in a cutout.

Mike is the featured soloist with this weekends "Salute to America"
concerts with the Detroit symphony Orchestra at the Greenfield Village in
Dearborn, just west of Detroit.

Greenfield Village is collection of factory buildings and stores and homes
from circa 1910. Henry Ford collected a bunch of historic buildings (Ford
factory, Edison's labs, Wright Bros. bicycle shop et cetera). (In July there
is a ragtime weekend -- for those who play a little ragged harp.) There is
also a huge museum.

Mike will sub for the piccolo player in the "Stars and Stripes Forever"
solo. He also will give a DSO trumpet section a break through "Bugler's
Holiday" where he switches between six harmonicas.

Mike performed at the 2010 Buckeye Harmonica Festival in Akron a few weeks
ago.
