Of course it is..IF you learned correctly. Which I didn't. BUT, I'm
picking up the key word above: 'evenly'. A tune that is done in F#
(for example) may be 'easily evenly' on another instrument but not on
a chromo. So then what do you do?
I've set in place a series of rite of passage tunes as targets for
my development. I've had All the Things You Are in the repertoire
now for a while, which I thought was an important tune to learn
because of the changing key centres and I've been working on Have
You Met Miss Jones for ages for the confounded bridge. Round
Midnight's on the to do list - I think that will sound awesome on
the chrm
I do Round Midnight. It's easy. Ebminor. Play it in Dminor fingering
(3rd position to blues officianados) BUT start with the slide pushed in.
(Or follow the music, if you are able to do that sort of thing). :)
