I did not know Chris, but have been on this list a long time and am shocked, as so many others are, by his passing way too soon.
He was brash, but it was not at all hard to look past that to see his talent and generosity and his commitment to what he was doing. He studied, he learned, he taught, he practiced, he recorded, organized, set up his own online forum, experimented with effects, got in deep with customizing harps, and more.
I paid attention to him. I learned from him. The harmonica was his passion. But he was interested in music foremost.
