Re: [Harp-L] Re: pedal for drive effect

i've tried running thru the digitech's, etc, and overdrives, etc, they don't give the real sounding tone...there's something very real sounding about the 3 pedals i suggested, and lone wolf will let you return 'em if you don't like 'em...but you won't return 'em...that is a fact...the other pedals are made for guitar, not harp. lone wolf is made for harp and it sounds amazing.

now, i have recorded harp thru a wah pedal cuz i was looking for a certain sound like the sax in that old traffic song, and it worked perfectly soaked with delay. but even THAT solo was built on a foundation of that old chicago tone.

i hear a lot of harp stuff posted here and on youtube, and rarely do i hear the tone i prefer, allowing for the source...speaking of jimi, kgsr is playing castles!

i appreciate the guitar tones of hendrix, certainly, but to throw that on harp is not my cup of tea, usually.

and, shockingly, i don't care that much for jason's tone...it's too 'not real' for me...he does appear to be talented on harp, tho...duh...:)

I try to post mp3s of my performances frequently so that people can hear what I do with the Digitech RPs. Some of the other manufacturers do the same at their websites. But it's still tough to make up your mind about gear when you can't run down to the store and try it out, much less compare it to the alternatives.
