I performed a simple mod on my Turner CX shell that I thought some of you sweaty bullet players might appreciate. My hands get pretty sweaty during those Summer gigs and as much as I love my CX shell, their rounded egg-like grills can get slippery. I took my mic down to Ace Hardware and sized an O-ring to sit on the seam where the grill joins with the shell. I secured it with six or so dabs of super glue around the perimeter which has held for several months now of moderate use. This has worked out extremely well. My pinky wraps behind the O-ring and results in a very secure grip. I think it also aids the seal when trying to get a tight cup. I incidentally had a VC knob with two little O-rings on it so I added it to the VC that I put into this shell which matches very nicely with the O-ring "motif". Here is a link to a picture.
