They are both great mouth organs...
The 270 better for  people who learned on"Chrom" ... the CX-12...is  
probably better for converts from diatonics... The CX-12 plays MUCH more  like a 
diatonic... If you know what I mean!... OK,  It bends easier, BUT  hasn't got 
that true "chrom" sound... FOR ME anyway...So I prefer a 270.
I have played both, they are both SPLENDID.. But My chrom outfit remains  
based on the 270... Other players, probably prefer the CX-12.
If you are used to a short harp go for the CX-12.... If you have a  
chromatic heritage, stick with a 270 Deluxe...
Just my opinion... Your mileage might vary!
