Hello everyone , very good subject Rick , I play mostly with a SuperScope Ec-3 Cardioid condencer mic from the 70s its a very good little mic had low resisitance to feed back and produces a good tone , small thin black lead I have exteneded with standard mic lead to about 15 feet room to boogie !. I do have a Green bullet and have had it at both hi and low gain settings , I mean I changeed the wires over in the mic !.
My Green bullet I bought it in 1996 one of the last ones to come out with no volume control and made in Mexico it is so strong it will feed back at fairly low volumes if not cupped tightly in my hand . I have found a cheap way to reduce the feed back by using a Graphic Equalizer pedal that has frequecey of 100 down to 6.4K takeing out half of that 6.4K frequencey and a few nocthes down in the 3.2K frequencey setting and then up the other settings a few notches from center gives me a good reduction of feed back from my amp , I am using a Johnson 4 valve ( Tube ) amp at 25 watts this amp sounds good has nice tone thoug will change the speaker to a 10 iche Bass Speaker.
Most vocal mics are good for harp and the Sm57 is a good mic for harpin , I do however likes my Ec-3 SuperScope condencer mic, even though I have to change the AA battery every few months the feed back is nill.
